1. After boiling pasta, run it under cold water. The starch will wash away and the pasta won't stick at all.

2. While stir frying vegetables, add a little sugar and they won't lose their original color.

3. If the oil in your pan is popping, add a pinch of salt (A PINCH, MIND YOU) and the popping will stop.

4. Have to brown onions in a hurry? Add a pinch of sugar and they'll brown in 3-5 minutes.

5. To keep julienne cut or shredded vegetables extra crispy, immerse them in freezing cold water for 10-15 minutes. They will stay extra crunchy even after being mixed in sauce.
